Immerse yourself in the vibrant literary landscape of the North at the Northern Publishers' Fair, organised by Fly on the Wall Press. Discover dynamic new voices, meet authors and buy books directly from regional independent presses including Bluemoose, Carcanet, Comma, Commonword, Flapjack, Saraband, Salt, Northodox and many more. Enjoy live pop-up performances from Kevin Boniface, Laura Fish, Tawseef Khan, Nicholas Royle and more authors throughout the day, with book signing opportunities. Spanning fiction, poetry, and regional tales, there’s something for every book lover at this celebration of northern publishing power.

Kevin Boniface is the author of Sports and Social, Round About Town and Lost in the Post.

Tawseef Khan is the author of the non-fiction book Muslim, Actually and the novel Determination, published in June 2024.
12.30 – 12.45: Fly on the Wall Press
Laura Fish is an award-winning writer of Caribbean heritage. Her third novel, Lying Perfectly Still, was S I Leeds Reader’s Choice winner 2022. Her second novel Strange Music was Orange Prize listed.

John Gallas is a New-Zealand born poet, now living in Leicestershire. He has published 31 books of poetry. His latest collection is Billy 'Nibs Buckshot: The Complete Works.

Brontë Schiltz is a writer of short stories and a Big Issue journalist. She is a freelance contributor to Horrified Magazine.

Zoë Richards is a Women's Fiction Writer and the author of Garden of Her Heart. She runs podcast 'Write Damn It!'

Nicholas Royle is the author of a short story collection, two novellas and six novels. He is a senior creative writing lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University and runs Nightjar Press.
